Meanwhile a few details about Warracknabeal

Warracknabeal, 220 miles north east of Melbourne, is a small town on the banks of Yarriambiack Creek. The town has several National Trust listed buildings and the Agricultural Machinery Museum which details the Australian wheat industry.

The Historical Centre has recreations of period scenes to provide an insight to how life was lived in the last century as well as collections of clocks and household furniture.

A tour of The Log Gaol is interesting if one considers it was still in use only 40 or so years ago. Yarriambiack Creek provides for picnic spots, gardens and walking trails. There is a small selection of accommodation ranging from hotels, B&B's to a caravan park.

Now for a shameless plug. If any of you adventurous Aussies are thinking of going to see the Amazon River and Rain Forest then the following links are just for you. The holiday company is run by my friend Steve Macalear and I. Steve spends most of his time out in Peru and Columbia running these tours, I (Sheena's brother Neil) am the marketing man behind the venture.
